Brian Showers from Swan River Press makes a really good case for not thinking of Horror as a genre at all. That it is an emotion or a mode, like comedy which can be found across genres. A slasher movie is a genre movie, but any genre can contain horror.I mean, both genres are so fucking broad, and there's so much overlap that it's a pointless argument
