That's actually a pretty interesting story IMO. I've been writing code for a living for 25 years and despise the culture of overwork (and have managed to have a decent enough career without working particularly hard myself) ... but still, the way that guy describes it, I can actually imagine how being in the thick of it like that could be fun, in a weird way

Fun fact - the guy who ran the development of IE6 is from Navan (his brother is married to my cousin)

whatever about this clown, it is sort of transfixing to be able to more-or-less watch the taliban roll into kabul in real time via a million social media fragments. I know that we all know this, and this is just how the world works now, but I suppose that every so often it still has the power to shock
