looks like a double bind here for you subbeteo - as a model and a musician your well in trouble with them

How about removal man? Surely this covers the fact the equipment is also classed as household possessions, people move at all times of the day and night and also personnel to move the stuff.

possibly the new regulations regarding taxing your van commercially.
you now need a tax clearance cert and shit like a vat number i think?
also, didnt they also try to get people to sign something saying that commercials would only be used for work purposes, so in theory you could get done for going to the shop to get milk in a van. the idea was to catch out people taxing huge 4x4's as commercial vehicles to avoid payting huge road tax. but they just screwed it up.

but sure havin a van is a mad laugh, so its worth the hassle.

I've my van insured as a sound technician so should be ok with gear in the back.

sound technician is a good one.
as is removal man which a friend has down, he has no tax clearance either and said he thinks that was scrapped.i found a lot of these things it depends on the tax office and who ya get to deal with on the day.i think if it is already taxed that way it seems to be easier as well.

Got a letter to renew tax there and it has a pin number to pay online. I've never had that option for the commercial. I've always had to go into the office with the test cert to get my tax. My test is due soon so if I tax it now why would I bother putting it through? If I get pulled over can they tell that it isn't tested? Confused...

im guessing ya have to display a doe cert in the window, the same as an nct one in cars?
im pretty sure they can tell because someone in my work told them they had the nct booked when stopped
and they made her wait while they checked if she did.
as far as i know if its more than three months out of date and no doe/nct booked.they take the van/car on the spot.
before that its a fine(if not booked) but the test is back dated to when ya should have it in the first place so not really worth the chance i'd say.

No you don't you see. You can't get your tax disc without the DOE cert usually.

then i guess if your not a driver who does shit lightly to get ya pulled, it might be worth it.
but if they do check at a checkpoint after three months they will take the van.so i guess compare the fine ,points etc and price of getting it back to the price of the doe.

shamrock needs some work and i found another exact same ldv but newer for cheap with a doe already - so gonna transfer the inside of the shamrock into the new one - aka "shamrock motel 2" with doe for campers on way - it's basically just as cheap to get the other one than to fix up the shamrock for doe which is on way for campers - thats the plan anyway
