What charity to donate to? (1 Viewer)

Hi, I’m bringing out a new tune in a few weeks time and I was going to do it as a fundraiser for Pieta House, but after reading some stories about how they’ve been operating over the course of the pandemic and specifically how they’ve treated staff, I’m not sure I feel overly comfortable about handing money over to them.

Can anyone here recommend a good charity that’s working either in the area of mental health or addiction services?

Is the Rutland Centre a good charity? I want to donate the money somewhere that’ll actually help people and that doesn’t fuck over it’s staff.

there is place near me called Carmha which is for people with both mental health and addiction problems.
addiction always has other underlying problems.
it is peer led, so all the 'staff' involved immediately say when first meeting with someone, that they have been through both themseves.

I second that. We use them a lot with Eoin and they have been nothing but great.
September was the 10th birthday for them.

yeah, I know the CEO and she is a sounder. They are good skins.

Had a further look into this. Turns out Pieta House aren’t as bad as I’d been led to believe, and they seem to do some pretty decent work for people
