I have a quicktime movie that needs to have a transparent background. Does anyone know how to do this in after effects? This will eventually be an .flv and I need to keep the file size down.

You mean change the background in the video to transparent? Is it a solid colour? If it is then you can chroma key it out though results will vary.

Chromakey will only really work if the colours are consistent.

But do a search for animated mask in after effects on the interlink. There's loads of stuff out there, including youtube vijos.

Haven't actually done it in a few years. I remember it being sloooowwww.
