Might be wrong thread but went to Counting Crows last night and it was savage. I was really pleasantly surprised at how good they were. The arena wasn't entirely full but the energy and the sound was all class. I loved that they disposed of "Mr Jones" early in the set. It seemed callous, except that the rest of the set was electric.

Worth noting because it is Motley Crue's first Irish gig. Too bad, I'm done with big outdoor gigs.

Weren't Mötley crüe supposed to have played here before, on a "farewell " tour? about 8/9 years ago...

The closest the Crue came to playing here was Nikki Sixx's band Methods of Mayhem were booked to play Whelan's but they cancelled on the day.
