...playing a heap of shows in February and March in the U.S next year.

Primavera Sound too...so hopefully that means they'll be looking for other shows in Europe around then.

It'd be sweet if they came here, I believe they have Jared from Big Business/Karp etc on bass for these gigs.

I think I saw Unwound in Behan's about 25 years ago. There were lots of Un- bands then - Unsane, Untame, Unrest, Unconvinced, Un.

Would see again.

I always confuse Unsane with Unwound.

Saw Unsane a few years ago in Portugal where my missus said it 'sounds like domestic violence'.

Which I thought sounded great.
We did not agree

Unsane played a smattering [splattering?] of UK shows over a month ago. Mate saw them in Bristol. Unreal. Unbelievable.

My Skinhead Girl... my favourite Unrest moment. The shift into the chorus is indie rock deliciousness.

1990...really?

I only have the Isobel 12" and an Air Miami record.

Two different Unsanes over those years thanks to yer man breaking up the band/sacking everyone and restarting the under another guise, then sacking everyone and starting again with another line up.

Unwound played here with fabric,is that right?

And who did Unsane play with? I think I saw them twice but can't remember who with. Entombed, neurosis and voivod are all mixing up with me.

Unsane played with Neurosis on the Through silver in blood tour, and they did a headline tour here too. Played Whelans and Fredz that I know of

Back on topic...

Skip about two minutes in to hear one of their finest songs live [some nice DIY chat in the first two minutes though]:

ill have to dust off that record as I never cared much for them at the time but they seem to be another one of those 90s bands who are benefiting from revisionist romanticism. Or maybe warranted?

That crowd is hilarious BTW! Loved how those 90s DIY crowds, including in Dublin, seemed to fucking study the band rather than just enjoy themselves. That is some earnest shit.
