My copy of the lp is well partied. As it should be.
Haha, yes! I have it on cd, looking pristine because I probably bought it in 2006 or something, it was all just copies of copies of cassettes back in the day.

I went to see the Beat there in Whelans a few years back, and the support band were a bunch of teenagers doing an Operation Ivy by way of the Specials kind of thing, in full rude-boy get up and with a small following of similar people in the crowd, it's kinda gas the way this stuff never dies.

It's funny cause that's a good take there, but it seems weird as fuck to me to have live drums that just sound like they've been recorded in a studio
Not really just the drums actually, like everything in that mix is so targeted that you sort of wonder what the point of performing it live is.

Edit: Fuckin better than drowning everything in fuckin reverb anyway

If they aren't, then how was it recorded live?
They're playing to a click, you can hear it at the start. BVs are pre recorded. Standard practice these days. There are BVs in the third song to that nobody sings.
I'd say the snare mic is triggering a sample too and that the guitars are all DI. No beef with the Lindas it's unfortunately the way things are done these days. Ever see a Metallica live video in the last 5+ years?
