Unexpected covers (1 Viewer)

Funny. It was only a couple of days ago that I first (knowingly) heard the original. I'm sure there's a "I didn't know it was a cover" thread somewhere.

I devoured that Therapy? album as a moody young man. That song didn't seem the least bit out of place on the album, I was really surprised it was a cover. And iirc, that was the song they were going to play on the Late Late, and then they played Knives instead. Poor aul Gaybo wasn't happy.

the basic riff very much lent itself to therapy's style, I thought it was 'going nowhere' (their radio friendly song off troublegum) that was supposed to be on Late late?

i remember it as having meant to be isolation also.

I used to think the "all people are shit" line was "young people are shit" which, even though I was about 12 myself when I first heard it, I thought was the funniest lyric and I thoroughly approved. I was probably thinking they were singing about my classmates in school.
