Where dogs wear hats and birds fly backwards
There's an open music session in my local in Slane on a Wed night, mostly middle-aged pricks like meself doing classic rock tunes. Last night I did Lady Gaga's Telephone on ukulele, and (almost) nobody recognised it - "that's a really good tune man, what is it?". A few people even thought I'd written it

'north munster'
meant to post this for ages, Gary will remember this.

SEDITION's (Scottish hardcore anarchist, pro tribal cultures,
back to nature, kilt wearing hardcore punks) cover of
'Ride On' written by Jimmy MacCarthy and made famous by
Christy Moore.
this was probably the first version i heard of the song.
RE sample at the end: Gus is the vocalist's name.

Sned from Flat Earth Records (never met him) who released
this song on 1993's Earthbeat LP, was a very reliable bloke.
have memories of ordering records from him by mail on
monday's and getting the records on friday.
that's even faster than the bands he played in.
