aka Minor televisual observations

A while back I noticed that the cat in the old ITV nighttime ident was taken from the start of The Legend of Hell House

"The shot of the cat in the opening credits sequence (5 minutes/31 seconds) was later used for the Granada Night Time ident on the ITV network in the United Kingdom in 1988. (Imdb)"

The other day I realised that incidental music is from an episode of Tales of the Unexpected

So now you know

Right so there's this new advert for VHI health insurance on tv right. It's got this animated doctor dancing around and shit on her way to work, yeah. Then she has to tell some little kid that there's something wrong with them, so she breaks back into the dance again to 'cheer them up' or something. Reality: your doctor is literally dancing about in joy because your kid has cancer or something.
I suppose it's a pretty accurate advert for private health insurance.
