I've been fantasising about a covers band with me singing and playing ukelele, a percussionist or two, and a sousaphone player doing the bass. Maybe a fiddle too. Playing strictly pop tunes - Lady Gaga, Gloria Gaynor, Justin Timberlake, Abba, etc

Did a recording with a sampled tuba last week, this is how it sounds (Chaka Khan cover on soundcloud)

If anyone knows a tuba/sousaphone player around Navan/Drogheda/Dublin let me know

I dunno, but Bobby is English, so I doubt his use of the Irish flag is jingoistic

i think it was the use of the miltary style font too, on top of the flag, which made me do a double take. it's the sort of image where if you see a reply on a tweet where the user has that as their user icon, you think 'uh oh'.

i barely know who's who in real life here. maybe all you thumpeders should get together and form a band. obvious band name is obvious.

Vocals levels are fine IMHO, but the hard panned guitars are very loud. Or maybe just too much presence.

Good tune, I like it.

Agreed on the guitars being loud. It still works though.
