THUMPED BUBBLEGUM POP SONG CHALLENGE (1 Viewer)

Inspired by this thread - a thumped song challenge. The idea is to write a bubblegum pop type song, here are some criteria, add more if you's can think of any.

• 2 - 3 mins long.
• sounds like all the crap in the charts, worse if possible
• created without one iota of moral fibre.

The kids go back to school pretty soon, so the bubblegum tunes have to be ready for the first week in september. Gombeen man has promised a pint or drink of your choice if you can get to number 1 in the IRMA top 30. This challenge is for fun. do not hire session musicians.

Hang on a second... There is some sublime bubblegum pop in existence, those three examples are no more bubblegum pop than what I just put in the toilet.

You should include a rule that all entries must incorperate a rewritten version of an 1800's western folk song like that Cher Lloyd one.

I donate these lyrics. Its kind of subliminal and will make kids feel ok about going back to school, but it never mentions school, cos if it did then that would be wrong.

And it has to be released in the next 2 weeks cos it'll be out of date after that.

ah here, you know i've been working on the same two minute tune since april and its still not finished. I started a new one the other day though and that's nearly finished, its going to be a duet. I might enter that if i get it done by september. Im sick of it already though, never want to hear it again.

Yeah, none of those examples are what I'd call Bubblegum pop.
