I remember those 70's educational short animated films The National Film Board of Canada* made.
they all had this faded out, dated 70's colouring like the photo on the album cover.
as an 80's kid it gave me the impression Canada was a grim place.
this fits the bill:
but some of the others I just looked at were much more fun.

I've never been a roofer, but I have built things. Apparently no one I've ever worked with knew the correct term "Purlin" either. No one, ever. That's quite troubling in retrospect.
Did any of yee know that it's not called a purling?

From that, longitudinal not longtitudinal.

It's not even nine o'clock and I already feel like an idiot.

Edit, it turned nine as I wrote that, so I'm wrong AGAIN! Moron.

Google is great to have and all, but it does make me feel damn stupid sometimes. The name Google itself is so called because of a spelling error. That comforts me. Not as much as being a billionaire but.

Was it supposed to be Googol? Like the very large number?
Google it. I can't do a "weh weh weh" emoji on my own posts, or at all.

Re: Purlin/purling. When I next get a chance I'll to explain (like an expert genius on everything/smug prick) to someone at work the difference between purlin and purling, I will say that I assumed it was purling because I thought it was a diminutive of a Germanic word, as I was trained by Dutch people. And shit. That'll make my error look cleverer.

Don't mix it up with purfling, which is a narrow inlay around the edge of a body of a stringed instrument (not to be confused with binding, which looks similar but is an onlay, I guess you could say)
