The guitar was probably not meant to go the speakers. i used to do that with a singer I worked for, her little red strat only ever went to her monitor because she never played the right chords and she didn't know herself that she couldn't play. She thought everyone could hear her play and that it was good. It makes me think that somebody might have blown this unfortunate man's fantasy.
