PRESS RELEASE

The Whatmans-World Domination Starts Here!

Navan is known the length and breadth of the Country for producing some of Irelands best recognized Comedians, Sportstars and of course, Navan has its very own James Bond – Pierce Brosnan. The Whatmans, a four piece indie-rock band from Navan, are heading in the right direction to become the next addition to the towns list of high achievers.

Releasing their debut single in April , The Whatmans have continuously wowed audiences at venues across Ireland, including the top Dublin hotspots of Whelans and The Village on Wexford Street. They recently qualified for the final of Shercock’s “Battle of the Band”; a competition, if they win, that could see them heading for bright lights of this year’s world famous Glastonbury Music Festival.

Singer John Brennan, guitarist Padar Mulvey, bass player Francis McGinn and drummer Aidan Carolan started life as The Whatmans in 2007 and have been on the go, recording and gigging since day one. The bands manager, David McGoldrick, is very excited about the year ahead for the boys – “There is no other band on the Irish music scene at present who have the same amount of pure talent combined in one unit".

As well as debut single, Devil Shoes, The EP also has the wonderfull tracks Follow Me and Casino,

The single are available for download on i-tunes.

from the search utility on nme.com they're being very secretive over there these days.

They don't look like devil's shoes he's wearing, more like a biz. casual pair he picked up in schuh/office.
