Seeing one of the biggest assholes from my school in attendance at a gig in Dublin increased that distance between them and me.

On the other side of the cassette he backed it up with another album he thought I'd like, which he imagined was "in a similar vein". It was Huey Lewis and the News ' ''Sports''.

I like that your stories all have some asshole or lame-o to act as your foil.

I have full moon fever, damn the torpedoes & the anthology. Such a great songwriter. The perfect mix of Dylan & the Byrd's ( & a few others) and had he a lot of integrity when it came to the music biz. RIP Tom Petty.

Interesting. I guess after a long song writing career you'd have tried the same lyrics in a few different ways over the years. I can't think of another example of an artist doing this, apart from blues guys, but I'm guessing it's happened before.
