Went to take the dog out in my van. Brakes/ wheels frozen so it ain't going to happen.

Any tips for unsticking them?

You basically beat the crap out of them. It happened one of my cars and the mechanic sent his intern to my house with a lump hammer.

I used to do that with the mini when the rear drums got stuck. Not as easy to access on a Kangoo

I had the yaris at the time and beating the wheel itself was the approach. When it happened another time i just used the clutch violently to drag it out.

Still frozen. Tried to force it to move and now my handbrake has gone slack. I foresee another bill when it eventually thaws.

It rolled down the driveway out on to the road earlier. My girlfriend forgot to put it in gear when she parked. No harm done though.

Got the breakdown service out to look at the van.

The guy was great. Straight in under the van to try and sort out the stuck brakes

It's freezing here so fair play to him.

I asked him what exactly he was doing down there and he went and got a mat so I could get in under it too. So now I know how to free stuck brakes

The tyres are probably 5 months old at most. Got a repair done on it anyways, nct in march and might replace both then.
