Just wait until the new Luas extension happens and this will be a weekly occurrence in Dublin.we might have our motoring mishaps here on thumped but at least none of us have ever taken out a tram...yet
More than 20 people treated after truck and tram collision in Melbourne
What did you end up getting?bought a big old rusty piece of shit merc that is going to need about 2 grand spent on just bringing it up to a decent standard.
hopefully no more than that and then i can start saving for aesthetics / making it look somewhat nice.
as it stands, it needs, in order of importance
after that:
- a fucktonne of rust media-blasted off / treated
- engine oil leaks sorted
- a new steering box
- a new ignition switch
- the 12v supply sorted
then i can worry about a paint job and maybe some nice wheels if i get a lot of overtime in this new job
- sunroof fixed
- motor for radio aerial
- immobilizer and new Bluetooth stereo and not terrible speakers fitted
- possibly parking sensors fitted
good grief, why??? how much is the motor tax? or is it a vintage? forget the cosmetic stuff, including rust, for now and get the mechanical stuff sorted. some oil leaks either can't be fixed or aren't worth fixing. also, parking sensors? just learn to park...bought a big old rusty piece of shit merc that is going to need about 2 grand spent on just bringing it up to a decent standard.
