Well I've played it twice today so..

I could put this guy in the "bands I don't get" thread. He seems like a decent sort but that cartoonish persona is really hard to get past. I've only heard a couple of other songs , Party Hard being one of them of course.

This is proper bombastic heavy metal though. 🤘

1st album is an amazing have a laugh not give a fuck party time album. He did a 10 year anniversary tour of it, played it start to finish in The Academy, and it was one of the best fuckin gigs ever. Very rare to see an entire crowd having that much craic with not a single person acting the dick.

Edit: Also when he recorded that first album and on the initial tour for it, the drummer from Obituary did the drums, legend.

Crowded House are currently on tour in New Zealand playing sold out arenas and theatres but very little footage has turned up on YouTube so far so I've been watching old stuff and realising they were way better in 2010 than I gave them credit for at the time. The production on Intriguer didn't really do the songs justice, live they were much livelier.

GRAUZONE - In Der Nacht (1981)

Last song on Zurich band's only LP. which consists of a lot simple elements layered into something wonderful.
some synths, a two note bassline, samples of glass breaking for percussion, a simple echo guitar motif,
and loads of phased backwords sounds.

GRAUZONE's songs were remarkable for all sounding completely different with no set formula.
