I've been posting on this in another thread (naughty me), however I believe that it was such a monumental event (to drummers in general) that it deserves its own thread.

Ok, let's start:

Wasn't Chad Smith a funny fucker?

So how was the workshop organised?
Was there discussions, Q&A any debate etc.,
or was it one long *jam* ?

Was it sold out?

Graham hopkins, formerly of therapy organised it, it sold out, but was seated so the capacity was considerably less.
I wasn't there so that's all I know.
I was at an elvin jones workshop once.
Phew!

Shame his band, Hopper..(no relation to our very own) is such a big pile of steaming shite. I knew there was something in the back of my mind for the worst gig of all time thread.

Yep, It was one big long jam. The percussionist guy was trying to show us different rhythms one could bang out. He was doing something like 5/8 time on a big shaker. Hopkins wasn't bad at all, but the best drummer there was that guy Sean Carpio (spelt right?)

I made one think that drumming is not just 1-2-3-4 etc.
