How do you take it?

I'm a Barrys tea gal. Yorkshire is a bit too full on for the likes of me. My other half has to leave the tea to steep for 10 mins, until it has a skin on top and is half cold and this makes me queasy. But not as queasy as the folks who drown it in milk.

I'm a 4b.

It's all loose-leaf tea in our house now, cos it turns out teabags aren't compostable. It's actually no trouble at all once you get the right teapot(s). We're ending up buying fancy expensive tea now, of course, but sure YOLO etc

Barry’s aren’t compostable, Lyons are
Yorkshire Tea (for us anglophiles) are also shame free

I am getting very obsessed with maintaining tea temperatures
I've an insulated mg for work and a mug warmer for home.

I think what I really need is an insulated tea pot. I am having trouble finding one though,

I think you're after a tea cosy?

Are those usb tea warmers a pile of junk? Anyone have one?

a mate got me a contigo coffee flask from the states for a tenner, it stays warm forever.

Nah, I've tried them. Never found them all that effective.
YOu're getting an extra 10 minutes out of a pot, at best

I've got one

Not USB though, plugs into the wall - works pretty good

The contigo mugs are great
Yetis are the balls too

You'd literally get hours out of a cup of scald with this yoke

I don’t need my tea to be scalding hot, you can’t really taste it if it’s too hot. I also don’t understand why you’d need to make one cup last for so long that it needs to be plugged in.

Mostly it's for work, where you'll make a cup then have to take a call or handle a request - the distractions are endless, when the poor ol' tea should be your focus
I assume - though I don't know - that's why they were invented

At home, I like a cup of tea with a sandwich and while watching the TV - so I do like a leisurely sup

Not really about it being scalding hot - just halting the drift to room temp
Don't think everyone gulps it down in one go either; a fair few are fond of a hot drop
Or even a second cup.

Tea is a very broad church

The insulated mugs have me ruined with luxury at this point.

Someone's making teapots with built-in cozies
What a glorious age we live in

My quest is over - just need to decide which of these to get

Thank you all for your support
