Szczecin - anyone been? (1 Viewer)

Me and the missus are going to Szczecin this weekend - I know its not a big tourist draw but it is the first time in 2009 we both have a free weekend, I've never been to Poland (except a train journey to Russia), its two hours or so from Berlin on the cheap train, and we spotted a really cheap hotel deal while looking more generally at Polish tourist stuff. €56 for two nights for two people.

But I have no idea if there is anything there worthwhile, besides knowing it is a harbour town, with lots of old Germanic building (both things I like).

Anyone ever been? Any pointers? Any nightlife???
Any general Polish food recommendations?

I played a gig there once. It didn't seem a particularly picturesque town, but maybe I was in the wrong area. My abiding memory is lots of white power graffiti.
