Montreal's SUUNS Announce 3 Date Irish Tour For Cork, Galway and Dublin

New Album 'Felt' Out Now

Montreal's SUUNS return to Ireland for 3 shows following the release of their brand new album 'Felt' out now on Secretly Canadian / Secret City Records. 'Felt' is the fourth studio album from the Canadian four piece and is the follow up to their acclaimed third album 'Hold/Still' which brought the bands tour to Ireland in 2016.

SUUNS European tour arrives in Cork's Cyprus Avenue on Tuesday 16th October, Galway's Roisin Dubh on Wednesday 17th October and Dublin's Grand Social on Thursday 18th October. Tickets are priced €18 from www.ticketbooth.eu/. Special guests for all 3 shows are VIVE LA VOID.

'Felt; is both a continuation and rebirth, the Montreal quartet returning to beloved local facility Breakglass Studios (where they cut their first two albums [Zeroes QC and Images Du Futur] with Jace Lasek of The Besnard Lakes) but this time recording themselves at their own pace, over five fertile sessions spanning several months. A simultaneous stretching out and honing in, mixed to audiophile perfection by St Vincent producer John Congleton (helmer of 2016’s Hold/Still), who flew up especially from Dallas to deploy his award-winning skills in situ.

SUUNS singer/guitarist Ben Shemie described new album 'Felt' as “definitely looser than our last one. It’s not as clinical. There’s more swagger.” That specific kind of energy permeates throughout the album’s lead single, “Watch You, Watch Me”.. As if Tame Impala went all in on the hallucinogens and discovered a portal into an alternate universe, the track finds SUUNS jamming out for a generous six minutes, their blissful guitars bent and swirled into blurs of colorful noise.

“Of the many sonic wonders purveyed by Montreal quartet SUUNS, the greatest may be their ability to craft memorable hooks and melodies out of strange, unexpected or unpleasant noises.” - VARIETY
