Two part question

• How does one go about getting one's music on Spotify?

i used cd baby, because it was a one time payment rather than a yearly lease.

Spotify is incredibly messy. Like as far as sorting bands with the same name etc. And is all the other info about releases there? Can I just not see it ? All I seem to get is the band/release/song title. I used to,and still do buy records based on other info like band members other bands,labels/who recorded it/where it was recorded,and of course, the thanks list. Now it seems spotify makes recommendations based on what I've listened to. I should listen to Black Sabbath because I've listened to the Sex Pistols ? While I love both,I don't get the connection.
Styx because I listened to Blue Oyster Cult?
Queensryche because Motley Crue?
Wedding Present because Only Ones?

The label search modifier is great, use "label:label name". This widget parses out the artists/albums by year into a handy list labelm8 -- better record label searching for Spotify

Tempted to do the same. Obviously the world is your oyster with it but I'm tempted towards listening on shitty laptop speakers all too often and yeah this old laptop really creaks with it.
