Do you like the song i posted?
Only the intro, once it settles into its 90s alt rock yeah! groove it loses me. I like a couple of songs from The Bends but it sounds way more dated to me than a lot of comparable stuff at the time (Pulp, Blur, Oasis). I blow hot and cold on OK Computer.

Every now and then the zeitgeist remembers Sinéad Lohan and talks bout how she should have been huge. I'd completely forgotten about this.

Was mis-remembering a song when I heard that the guy from Love as Laughter died, which is sad news, but it turns out I was thinking about a band called Lig. Used to *adore* this song

Mel's about a foot shorter than these backing singers. He DNGAF. Class.

I would have liked to have seen some Moto Guzzis in the background though.

I was watching an 90s documentary on Manchester that had Smiths songs in it, and I remembered I liked The Smiths. But I can't listen to The Smiths any more because I escape remembering what a gaping asshole present-day Morrissey is, which is really annoying.

I have wanted to listen to “Every Day is Like Sunday” since lockdown began but don’t want 0.0000000000000000001 cent to go into Morrissey’s bank account.

That piano riff was stuck in my head all day. Had to a bit of Google detective work.
