The innocent explanation is that he was stumbling drunk through town oblivious to a fucking crime scene. Which is apparently fine for a public rep.

I had a huge argument the other day (which you may have seen) about the Luas drivers having a tough job partly because they have to stay alcohol and drug free while operating the tram.
That the requirement to be below the legal BAC and not show up hungover at work is onerous.
It beggar's belief.

Exactly. It always baffled me that people I know saw him as some sort of progressive figure. I would have thought FG was his natural home now that the PDs no longer exist but I suppose FF will do just as well.
