So I received an email from an SEO company looking to have a link removed (1 Viewer)

I know what SEO is. But beyond that it's all gobbledegeek.

I would feel no shame in asking for a picturebook version of this thread.

is linking to our domain and we have been given an email from Google regarding our linking habits!

Since this letter from Google our site is suffering very badly, I need to get this link removed.

What exactly is the problem? The "bad" link is just linking to their site. I'm not understanding how that could be misunderstood as a bad link.
