Silk Road (1 Viewer)

The encryption on bitcoin is (apparently) bulletproof. Sheep marketplace just stole the bitcoins that people were giving to each other - like if ebay just took everyone's money

I bought EUR50 worth of bitcoins to use on silk road during the summer, but got cold feet and didn't. Still have the bitcoins, last week they were worth around EUR500

From all my reading around it my understanding is that Bitcoin gained a lot of legitimacy when central banks and regulators started issuing guidelines on how to deal with it a few months back.

It seems the main issue with it is that a lot of people still are only using it for investment purposes rather than for transactions (or at least for open, legal ones).

Stories like this are popping up everywhere though

I'm amazed that O'Donovan is a relatively young fella, I assumed he was some oul lad who heard half a news piece on bitcoin and got carried away with himself.
I'm also saddened that jimcorr.com is still down, another another great mind silenced.
