Just about to put this morning's catch in the bin when It woke up and started squeaking. I nearly had a heart attack. I let it go in the grass. The mouse, not my bladder. Those plastic pre baited traps are hit and miss when it comes to killing them.
Jaysis. Exploding mouse tummies!

I put more traps down on Saturday, and none have been sprung so they might be gone...for now.

I like to think the one I released spread the word to the others to get the hell of of my shed.
I am eager to hear progress on @therealjohnny 's mousecapades

And any issues anyone else is having with mice or rats

This is my Fortnite

After a non eventful few days, we were rewarded with another catch today. He set off two traps, one grabbed him by the abdomen, the other by the tail.
man, you are burning through those traps

I also had some success with putting the old style spring traps in a plastic bag, so it looks less like a trap
But sounds like the glue is doing it for you

The traps are reusable. Eventually the bait loses its potency and needs to be replaced.

Shrews aren't really like mice or rats, except for superficially. They're not "pests" cos they're insectivores and have no interest in being inside your house
I found it in the storeroom closet, maybe it just got confused? No sign of mice. Just this poor little bloated shrew.

These work pretty good. You need space for a bucket though

Amazon product

He fills his with water, but a small amount if peanut oil instead makes it a live trap
