REBELLIOUS JUKEBOX 1ST BIRTHDAY BASH!!!

Bringing you a phenomenal lineup next Friday 11th April, The Red Room, Sister Sarah’s, Letterkenny ….it is our birthday after all…… hip hip hooray……

The Dangerfields

The Dangerfields are a three piece rock n roll band originally from Belfast, formed in 2000. Hell-bet Andrew Griswold is joined by Jasper “Guitar” Vincent and bassist Jamie Delerict. The group’s sound is an explosion of raw energy formed by six decades of great music. Debut album Born To Rock swaggers like the Stones, swings like the Ramones and kicks the door in like Motorhead. Years of relentless touring has dragged the band from the squats and pubs of the punk circuit to some of the largest stages in the land.

In March 2007 Jake Burns of Stiff Little Fingers personally invited them to support SLF on a full UK and Irish tour including major shows at Belfast Ulster Hall, Glasgow Barrowland, Manchester Academy and London Astoria.

The Dangerfields have shared stages with the Misfits, Flogging Molly, Marky Ramone, The Damned, The Exploited, Discharge, to name but a few. The power trio also appeared as guest of Snow Patrol at the massive Tennent’s Vital 06 Festival.

In May 2005, Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden invited the band to perform at his Live BBC 6 Music Roadshow in Belfast alongside Therapy? and Funeral For A Friend. Dickinson later interviewed the band live on air and again in November 2005.

The band has also received significant airplay on BBC Radio 1. In October 2007 edition of AU, The Dangerfields were placed at number 30 in a list of “Irelands Top 40 Must See Acts”. Also in October 2007, Jamie Delerict performed guest lead vocals with the Mistifs at several shows on that bands “30th Anniversary” tour.

The Dangerfields are gonna kick your ass.

MOUTPIECE

Dublin band Moutpiece formed as a three piece around the dawn of the new millennium in order to right many of the then current wrongs on the Dublin Rock Scene. Namely a lack of high octane punk rock and roll. Now a dual tyrannosaurus of unbridled rock, Moutpiece is primed to release their debut record, a 12 song, 28 minute opus of pure energy. This is garage punk rock at it’s finest. Be prepared for this band to raise the roof.

Elroy

Our Birthday bash would not be so without one of the best local talents around, ELROY. By now Rebellious Jukebox regulars, this band are so good and always bring a large enthusiastic mob of fans! Memorable vocal melodies, Hook-laden guitar lines, punchy bass parts and furious disco beats seem to be the order of the day. Elroy are Letterkenny lads; Gaz Cunningham on Guitars, Bass, Keyboards, Vocals, Backing Vocals, Percussion and Sampling, Michael Coyle- Bass, Vocals and Backing Vocals, Mike Warren- Drums.

Zafaranchos

The night will commence with local lads Cian McGannity, Shane Halligan, Mark McConlogue and Michael Galligan new band’s debut performance.

Doors 9pm. Admission a meager €6. Come and celebrate with us.
