Good Vibrations are having gigs and jigs on in their store in Belfast - and Cork Community Print shop has dj's, pop up cafe and vegan cakes in Art for Blind records space there!!!
These are real record stores.

No mention of Good Vibrations or Cork Community Print in that post, fffs.

A-HEM

In Belfast, Good Vibrations are having no part of the RSD "capitalist con", but will be having a party of their own regardless with live performances from 2:30pm.

Down in Cork the Community Print Shop will have DJ's, a pop up cafe and vegan cakes in the Art for Blind space.

Yep - I missed it on last visit to Belfast, but they are open and going again! Must drop in and see if they have some Rudi records next time.
Here's what they;re facebook page is saying this week, (if its not too long winded to post here) :
"Next Thursday (17th April) will be the 10th anniversary of the the arson attack on North Street Arcade, 23 business and community arts organisations where burnt out. We lost all our fantastic stock and the history of the record label including master tapes of unreleased recordings. Against all the odds we still have a shop when thousands of record shops have closed down in the last decade. On Saturday April 19th (which is also Record Store Day) we are having a bit of a Hooley down in the shop with a few artists and djs playing music. So far we have local legend Bap Kennedy playing some tracks of his new album (and some Hank Williams songs), his new album will be on sale on cd and the limited edition vinyl. Bap and friends will be playing at 2.30.
We will also have live music from the Groundlings, Monkee Man, Steven VX, and dj sets from ALI P and Johnny McKee, times to be announced next week.
Come on down and enjoy the craic.
Good Vibrations (Belfast's poorest record store), 87 - 93 Upper North Street."

Sounds like an amazing circle-jerk fest full of sycophantic pricks
