I bought
Jenny Lewis and the Watson Twins album.
And the Isabel Campbell and Mark Lanegan album.
Both great... both kinda similar

Also re-reading books I read in college. Actually books I thought I'd read in college. Turns out I hadn't read most of them at all. Which is a shame because
1) I've been saying I've read them for years
2) lots of them are fecking great.

So I bought:

The Sun Also Rises by Mr. Ernest Hemingway
A Handful of Dust by Mr. Evelyn Waugh

Also bought a book called "Primal Marketing" by a guy called Patrick Hanlon.
In the first chapter he talks about "successful brands such as coca-cola, christianity and AIDs".

Scared the shit out of me. No more marketing books for me.

In the post the other day, from some Welsh cowboy:

'I am cold' lp - rip,rig and panic (I was listening to this on the wrong speed and it sounds fucking class - really spaced. Can't wait to listen to it on the right speed. Also listening to Metal Box on loads of different speeds, a good album for this sorta carry-on)
'Privelge' lp - television personalities
earbuzz drum 7 and kidney bingo 7 - wire.

Today:
'Snuffer' lp and 'dusted' lp - both by Live Skull (featuring Thalia Zadek, if there's any fans), today in secretbookandrecordstore.
'beat torture' lp - the times
'wolf like me' 7 - t.v on the radio (this is really quite bad. Is the rest of the album as poor / rubbish as this? Really liked all their previous stuff, as well.

The other day in chapters, 'alan clarke', which was compiled by Richard Kelly. going cheap at 8.99. few copies left.

Listening to Superchunk right now - so good.

not exactly purchased but my uncle pretty much gave me his record collection

good few lps and dozens of 7 inches (all unsleeved, but awesome - last played 'speedking')

there is one ridic rarity of a record in the lps, which i can't keep
it's not mint but it plays fine...goes for over 2 grand sometimes

i'm gonna offer to try and price some of these and let him decide what to do with em. i'm sure i fucked up a lot of the 7 inches when i was a kid. that'll learn me!
