It takes a lot to get me going but that is stunning. Have you ever read In cold blood ?

It starts with a poetic description of this photograph.

I was hoping to take some photos of the tree around the corner from my apartment. It's all lit up and has balls and candy canes and all sort hanging from it - it look really really pretty. I strolled down there tonight and as soon as I pulled out the camera a car parked by the house turned on it's lights to see what I was doing, the car pulled out and drove up and blocked the intersection and a very efficient security guard/detective (think someone who would pass for a professional rather than a bouncer) came over. Very polite and relaxed - I took a couple of shots for show and high tailed it.

Lucky I didn't bring the tripod as planned.

I wonder who lives there?

And before you insist I shoud know my rights etc.

The possibilities in this situation include:
He is an armed detective guarding the house of a politician
He is private security guarding a drug dealer
He is a narco guarding a stash house.

I doubt they would put such a fancy tree in a stash house. I don't know the situation in Mexico so I wouldn't advise you on what to do. Maybe the guard would be friendly if you talked to him and he learned your intentions?

Raz,these ones here are negs, im using a canoscan 9000f,which does the job for uploading to the net but if i need larger prints, id say id have to get them done somewhere else.
Im having a few development issues at the moment, i seem to be getting bubble marks on the negs, its wrecking my head, anybody have any ideas? The picture of the arcade sign with the pigeon has a good example of it..

youre processing colour film yourself? im impressed! what are you using?

in my b/w fuck up experience stuff on your negs like that could be
- too little agitation at the dev or fix stage leading to uneven development
- a drying issue - kinda water stains - have you tried wiping the shiny (non emulsion side) of the film?

scanners can often pick up shit like that that wouldnt show in a print..

the very clear bubble effect is odd i have to say
