Bertie Auld (1938 - 14 November 2021)
1967 Lisbon Lion who won five Scottish Championships with Celtic and playing in two European Cup Finals.
Bertie also won a League Cup with Birmingham and earned 3 caps for Scotland.
He later managed several clubs including a six year stint at Premier Division side Partick Thistle.
EDIT: sorry I didn't see Jim's post

Mary Collinson (22 July 1952 - 23 November 2021)
Maltese twins Mary and Madeline (d. 2014) Collinson starred in the Hammer vampire film Twins of Evil (1971) with Peter Cushing. For better or worse the sisters are credited starting a fascination for twins modeling together.

sad news. Coventry winning the Cup (3-2 v Spurs a.e.t.) was a great memory of my football childhood.
'Snoz' looked liked an old lad even then.
alongside his former 60's Coventry team mate George Curtis (who also died recently) Sillett turned the same players struggling against relegation in 1985-86 into Cup winners. Snoz then followed it up with several more top 10 finishes, before being probably unfairly sacked in 89-90.

John came from a football family. his older brother, England full back Peter, played with him at Chelsea and won the League at Stamford Bridge in 1955. the Sillett's father Charlie played for Southampton and was killed at sea in the war.

Snoz was great mates with Jimmy Greaves from their Chelsea days and Jimmy famously backed Coventry to beat Spurs in the Final.

Cyrille Regis' autobiography had an interesting insight into the football drinking culture back then.
Snoz actively encouraged the players to socialise at pubs on week nights as a bonding exercise. but he told the lads they were only allowed drink half measures. so the players drank lots of small glasses.
anyway it seems to have worked but the players partners didn't see them very much.

excellent tribute:

Coventry City FC excellent bio of John's career in football with more great photos:
