People Who Died (9 Viewers)

Mad that someone had to invent that, fair play. A world affecting invention in its own way.

WELLLL

When I worked in a newspaper we got a massive computer virus (probably from [redacted] who were trying to launch in the area at the time) and we actually had to literally cut, copy and paste a newspaper using guillotines, pasteboards and hand typed pages and hand cut photos. This guy didn't invent that, he programmed a very old technique for a new medium.

you could say

he copied it.

When I left school I did a course in printing and publishing. We had to learn paste up and how to set up art for print and all that jazz. The was a room with huge noisy machines with flashing lights that would generate a spool of perforated paper...that would somehow generate in turn a page of printed copy. All this was used to create the plates for the printer. We also had one first generation Apply Mac..which rendered everything else we were learning completely redundant.
