This guy died last year, but I'm only finding out about him now (listening to a podcast about him)
It's remarkable to me how one life, lived well can impact so many others
How we all have the capacity for great good, if we can get the clarity in ourselves that seems to come readily to others

“Broaden the space in your soul, seek your higher self, and do your deeds in earnest!”
I mean, it's really that easy. And that difficult too, I suppose.

Or chrome dev tools and “slow 3G” emulation so you can stop the page loading after the content appears but before the paywall blocks it.
And here I have been using Ctrl-A, ctrl-C, Ctrl-V, like a fool.

Tom Verlaine sadly at 73. As my friend Drew would say, the dude was a mensch.

Ah balls. Saw the early 2000s reunion a couple of times, both were mind blowing
There was a moment back then when everyone copped (or some music journo or list reminded everyone) that Marquee Moon was a stone cold classic
And they got to bathe in that renewed love. I remember being happy for them.

Just left a funeral here. A lot of death going on, one way or another.

Interestingly ..Richard Lloyd follows me on twitter

No better time then to reiterate about this earworm banger:

and whilst we're at it, 80s Verlaine is pretty sweet. Picked up a few of his 80s LPs cheap in Japan, I'm guessing because there is a secondhand surplus of them there.

Love this:

Saw him do a show in New York years ago. Was great. Played friction from marque moon. Possibly because it was the one he wrote.
Generally don’t get the ‘wish I’d seen him/them live (before he died)’ vibe as much as I’m getting for TV/television today

Both Verlaine and guest Ricky Wilson on guitar on this track, two very different guitar players, both now passed, making the weirdest unfunky groove i could listen to all day, almost like arriving on the motorik beat by accident
