Quite bizarrely, I received through work a posh-looking invite card (gold printed harp an all) to a Paddy's day reception at the ambassador's residence in the richest part of Berlin.

Me and the missus are going to go for the laugh...have to wear a suit, no problem...but I have no shoes so the black canvas runners will have to do - hope no one looks down!

I hope, alongside loads of free alchohol, that they have Ferrero Rocher...
