Hello Travel Fans,

I have a chance to go and work in Raleigh NC for a year. I've never been there but I did spends 2 months in Myrtle Beach SC on a J1 which was eh 'interesting'. Anyone ever spend a prolonged period of time in NC? I have a Raleigh bike should I bring it with me?

I'm not overly pushed going to America, as I've been a number of times, but this has landed on my lap and I'm too lazy to organise anything else myself.

Someone make up my mind for me.

oh oh oh.... I was thinking of moving there too.
The Portland Maine option was recieving a lot of flak from the missus due to the brutal winters. And I realise now myself that it might be a little rough.

So I was thinking about heading out that direction. Growing tomatoes and getting a few chickens and things. doing a bit of contract coding for demuney.
So ehh. Yeah. Nice one.
Hope you get the job man.

Raleigh is great, there's a record shop there called Lunchbox Records that puts on tonnes of free gigs and has a sweet selection of records, cds, books, magazines, dvds.... It even has "Please Feed Me". Loads of yank punk bands say it's their favourite place to play.
