Anyone know anything about these? Someone on an American messageboard is going on about them. Anything to do with Martin Nolan I wonder?

100 watt and 50 watt(red) Irish made. close relatives of your sound city mike...distant relatives of hiwatt as well. both hand made in the late 60's early 70's. been completely rewired and retubed. only seen two others besides these...one as a combo...one on a youtube video from ireland...

The company in ireland became NOLAN SOUND and has nothing to do with amps now...from what i remember they do PA type stuff and other applications. they have a website but there is no mention of the previous amps they built. some site we saw years ago said the guy was building these on his kitchen table and used to work for hi-watt(rumored).

otherwise no info is available on these.

they look stunningly awful,I can nearly see this lad
geansaí on,slurping on a cup of tea & eating a Batch jam sambo
bits of amp lying all over the formica table as his missus cooks up the coddle!

I want one!!

Did anyone ever ask Martin Nolan if he had anything to do with them?

I need my Marshall's fixed,if I remember I'll ask him.

Saw a pair of Nolan 2x12"s at the weekend for sale for 60euro each.

I'm considering buying them,if I can scrape the money together.

its quite likely they'll be grand either way but its probably worth checking the speakers and for the preseance of a horm beneth the grill cloth.

Hi folks,
I used to build Nolan Amps, if any of you have pics of them outside/inside please post them, I have put up bit more info in the General Threads. I still have two of the schematics 60W NB and the 100W NB PA.
All the best folks
...........

Rare as hems teeth.I imagine you'll be selling it for big money shortly.

Post the link here but don't expect too much for it at the moment. There's a lot of nice gear for sale and Nolan is not a very well known brand...
