Did you see the joy of easy listening on Beeb4?

I really enjoyed that. It's a great shame they showed that clip of Jimmy Webb performing with a horrendous pony-tail though, he's so uncool it hurts, and I've come to the conclusion that he's an absolute genius of a songwriter. I keep discovering more and more of his songs or recordings or arrangements and they're almost always amazing.
The docu on Bacharach was pretty dull though, he's a very boring man.

A new nlgbbbblth compilation is always a thing of wonder to be cherished.

I've passed on several of these to mates of mine and they've been roundly enjoyed by all.

BTW, I've been listening to an elpee called "Eye Level" by the Simon Park Orchestra for the last few days - theme from Crown Court ("Distant Hills") = heartbreaker.

That Simon Park LP is a good one. Distant Hills = amazing!

Couldn't see the thread for 16 so thought I'd post here. LOVING it, niggledy bits. Track 10 is my fave so far. That and the Beau Brummels tune. Looking forward to 17 already.
