It's all a load of bollocksology really. There's nothing wrogn with Sterling saying he's fatigued, there's nothing wrong with Hodgson not playing him and there's nothign wrong with Roy saying why he hasn't played. Pretty much everything since then has been shite to fill space in the English papers until Thursday when they can start doing weekend premier league previews.

Sterling is a high performance atlethe with loads of this fast twitch muscle yokes, he could have started in a meaningless game that England should have won comfortably without him, or he could have increased the risk of endcing up a burnout in his mid 20's like Michael Owen.
