I spent a few hours the other day going through the entire catalogue and adding things to my queue as I found them.
The normal browse function on the TV is terrible - the same handful of straight to DVD crap recycled over and over in any conceivable category. It never seems to cycle and has no problem suggesting the same movie in multiple categories - surely the objective should be to show the greatest selection possible to the user.
(and just because you show me the Hobbit 40 times doesn't mean it'll fool me into thinking your selection of recent films isn't absolute shit!)
So I searched "aa" on my phone, then "ab" then "ac" and a couple of hours later ended up in "zz"
There's no hidden gems - it's shit all the way down. I found perhaps 10 films to add to my queue that Netfilix's algorithm hadn't suggested.
Picking a film to watch with the rest of the Nailer's has become a chore that normally ends in a fight - not because of the wealth of choice - more a fight over which straight to DVD dross would be less annoying to watch.
