ok heres the ska-i have a boss br8 home recording thing
i have recorded shit on it-it takes zip disks-
i have transferred them to my computer and converted them to wav files (thats all you can convert them to)
each wav file corresponds to an instrument

i have the .wav tracks on computer (from digtial 8-track recorder) and i want to combine them to make a song...and then copy to cd

where can i get the software to layer these wav tracks on top of each other????

ps. if you know of an mp3 combiner(is that the word?) that would also work-cos id say it would be handy enough to convbert wav to mp3

I've never used it, but many of the 'pros' use (ahem) Pro Tools

pro tools free is the way to go...

its absolutely fantastic. if you want to be a little more lofi, you could do wors than checking out a tracker, ie www.unitedtrackers.com, or fruityloops, but protools is the business.

you are limited to the number of tracks etc.

Pro tools free is deadly. It is limited to 8 tracks of audio and 48 tracks of MIDI ... but is bloody incredible. It also has all the amazing proTools eqs, dynamics and effects.

Finally a decent marketing ploy way to get you hooked on the mighty pro tools for life.
