Just moved into the new gaff this weekend. Two words. Storage. Heating.

Anyone have any idea how this shit works?

Can anyone recommend a heater that I can buy to plug in that won't send the electric bill through the roof? Am having fond memories of the superser from my childhood. Ahhh, lovely warm superser.

storage heaters are the stupidest things ever

we lived in house for 2 years and never figured out the right way to use them. We even asked an electrician amd he hadnt a clue either.

And they are the most expensive way to heat the house. I think they were invented in the days that electricity wasnt so expensive

best bet is the good old calor gas heaters

until you get the storage heaters replaced with gas or opil central heating

we have gas now- piping hot water and warm house all the time and half the cost of our last bills

This is going to be one of the problems of finding a nice extra heater too. They're all fucking horrible looking.

i dunno. my room is like the inside of a fridge freezer. i get woken up most mornings by lack of feeling in my feet.
