Coincidentally I was going to say this earlier:

Seriously though I think there's definitely a time where, for 99.99% of people, the right decision is to stop spending so much time on music, and I don't think that anyone should feel bad about that. Priorities change, and making a career out of being in a band is something that takes so much time, money and effort that it's inevitable that other things take over and that your quality of life will suffer unless you make the necessary adjustment.

There's a statistic, and I can't remember it exactly, but it basically the facts and figures pointing out the miniscule amount of individuals that were part of a *signed* act that actually end up making a lifelong career out of their band.

Apart from all that you can still enjoy making / performing music on whatever level you can.
