Not great but informative, filled in plenty of gaps.

great rock biogs

Little Richard (only cos it's filthy)
I'm with the Band
Chronicles
Me and Freddie (actually, disappointing, still waiting for the Queen Hammer of the Gods style expose)
Hammer of the Gods
Shakey
The Field Mice: "in their own Words and Hugs"

Been meaning to pick this up for a while. I've heard good things alright.

Nnnggblth,

The Police are a good band in my opinion too, but I can't stomach Sting. What I should have said was how could he read the WHOLE book.

yeah, it seems so. he's taken to bad-mouthing them in interviews of late. keenan's distribution issues regarding his own volcanic tongue label are ridiculous, and the above book, while flawed, is an inspiring and illuminating read, especially after ford's "wreckers.." book.
