went there last night, quite nice, new smell, nice staff, €7.90 for a student ticket is bollocks though. best thing is being able to hop on the luas outside my house and be there in ten minutes. handiest cinema ever. anyone else been?

Have not been there yet. 7.90 is a bit bloody steep for a student ticket. The new smell will be gone soon so that is hardly a pulling factor.

Is it big? How many screens are there? Nice comfy seats?

there are 12 screens, the one we were in wasn't that big. seats v comfy. ridiculously shaped bags of popcorn that look like bags of dogfood, which we took to calling 'feed bags'. UGC is still way cheaper though.

"Excuse me, there seems to be some mistake. I bought some popcorn and a drink and now I have no money left."
"That's how much it costs."
"What is it, magic popcorn? Does it produce some kind of dizzying high?"

really expensive.
popcorn 2 bottles of water 2 single scoops of icecream = 14.50

but its 5 mins from my house so i doubt i'll ever go to another cinema as long as i live.

*fuck* that. bring your own popcorn / refreshments to cleverly avoid the 500% mark up.

€6 for a student ticket = cheapest in dublin, to the best of my knowledge.

Yeah, it is cheap but then you have to put up with gangs of screaming kids running in and out of the place/talking on their phones through the film/wrecking your head/chucking popcorn.

The Screen and the IFI are the only cinemas I bother with these days.

fuck sake, if its not one thing its the other.

best (not really best) and handiest cinema ever, the Cla, aka the Classic in Harolds X is being turn into a fucking LIDL. Fuck that. It used to cost 4 pounds and when the euro changeover came in it was suddenly the euro equivalent of 5 pounds. quality business management. floor was sticky as fuck and you'd get a pain in your arse from the chairs cos the cushions were so worn don but it was all part of the charm.

foxes named a buscuit after that place.
