The cat brought another shrew into the house last night, which sent the dog mental. We've had no sleep.
I caught it in the sweeping brush earlier but it wriggled free. I wouldn't mind so much but the cat was watching me try to catch it and didn't pitch in.
The shrew is under the fridge now. The cat has fucked off to have a nice long sleep for the rest of the day.

I’d think of them as a fish-slice and a flat instrument without holes as a spatula. We use spatulas in the lab (some quite small) for measuring and mixing and they never have holes.
