A parking barrier came down on my head while I was in mid conversation with a client today. I’m fine but it was pretty painful when it happened and I’m lucky it didn’t do serious damage.

Oh God

once, years ago, I was cycling into work for the early shift - about 5:30 AM and in winter so pitch dark outside - I cycled directly into the main parking barrier of the business estate, proper cartoon reaction where I came to a halt but my bike careened on for a few meters. There were no cars around so I just picked myself up sheepishly and got back on the bike. I've always wondered if there was footage of it somewhere.
